Something about how Mac was able to suppress his instincts and let himself be. And how he threw compliments at Dennis left and right. And how he looks to Dennis for decisions to try and make him feel like the leader. And how he complimented Dennis on what a great job he does as said leader. And how he let himself touch him here and there, their arms brushing or his hand winding up on Dennis’s knee. The way he tended to Dennis and made him feel helpless by poisoning him but then using that only to look after him.

What I’m saying is that this is everything Mac has been doing. Everything Dennis told him to stop. This is everything Mac did to make Dennis fall in love with him.

But Dennis may very well still be here. He tried to separate entirely but it didn’t work. It didn’t work. Recounting how he found the Sinned system didn’t happen, Mac and Dee asked him why he had a system for men and he SHUSHED THEM. Dennis claimed the system and its accountability because it worked on HIM. And how could someone get Dennis, the golden god, to fall in love with them? He’s never really felt that has he. We’ve never seen it in a relationship not even with Maureen. How could Mac of all people get Dennis to fall in love with him? It must be some sort of algorithm.

What’s more “I’m in love with you and I see the efforts but I can’t be with you because what if it ends” than setting Mac up with some other dude? Distancing it all from himself. And maybe a reasoning for why he can’t stop feeling that way is because Mac used this over YEARS over the decades that they’ve lived together.

Dennis held his hand as he ripped Mac’s heart out. I have nothing to say about this but I can’t stop thinking about it. And I don’t like the way this looks like it’ll end.
